I create websites with a marketing lead focus. As I’m a professional marketer and skilled web developer your organisation’s website is in safe hands. Most web designers don’t understand marketing and so focus on making your site just look ‘pretty’ without providing enough attention on your website objectives. Do you design new websites or redesign existing websites?
I do both. I create websites from scratch for new and existing businesses. And I also redesign old websites that are no longer kicking goals.

What’s your web design process?
- I send you a thorough website brief which I will ask you to complete. This ensures I understand your current website situation, your objectives and your expectations
- I review this website brief and sketch proposed layouts of your website. The focus of this stage is ensuring your comfortable with the content areas and website architecture
- Upon approval of these sketches, I then add colour and imagery to bring the sketches to life.
- Once these illustrations are approved I then begin creating your website online in hidden server environment that only you will have access to
- Once approved, I then flick the switch and make your website go live on your website address
Will my existing website be down while you create a new website?
No. Your existing website can remain functioning as normal. Once your new website is complete and ready for launch, there will be very minimal downtime between switching the new website over. Typically this takes no longer than 1-2 hours.
How long does it take to create a website?
Although this varies in complexity, most websites take between 3-5 weeks to complete.
How much does it cost to create a website?
This varies depending on the complexity of the website. Typically websites will vary between $1-4k. When discussing your needs, I will be able to quote you a more accurate figure.
What is a domain name?
This is your website address that someone types into an internet browser to connect to your website. For instance, my domain name is http://smallbusinessplanned.com
What is website hosting?
Website hosting is the storage of your website files so they can be accessed by anyone wishing to view your website. Every website needs to be hosted by specialist servers that operate 24/7. If your website doesn’t have hosting, no one would be able to view it.
What do I need to provide in order for you to create my website?
You will need to provide the text for all the web pages and any original images. If you need additional images, I can help you search for them.
Will I be able to update my website by myself?
Yes. In most cases, editing your website will be similar to editing a Microsoft Word document. You will be able to edit your website for free as often as you like. All you will need is an internet connection.
What ongoing costs will my website have?
You will need to purchase a domain name (such as mysite.com). Generally this costs between $10-20 per year. In addition, all websites require website hosting. Check out my website hosting offer. Apart from this, there are no ongoing costs to maintain your website.
Do you do SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) for my website?
As I build your website from scratch, I can take the time to embed strong SEO fundamentals across your whole site. But SEO isn’t just something you do once. It’s important to understand that ongoing success in SEO requires constant work (creating new content and links).
Can you add video, forms, a blog and social media to my website?
Sure.
Can you assist me in creating email addresses?
Yes
Will my website scale appropriately to mobile and tablet devices?
Yes. As your website is built from scratch, it will be optimised for different screen sizes. Your website will automatically detect which device is trying to access it. Your website will always show the most customer friendly version of your site.

What CMS (content management system) do you prefer?
I prefer to use WordPress. WordPress is the most widely used CMS in the World. It is easy to update, flexible and comes with thousands of extended options. WordPress is also used to create major websites like CNN, Sony, The Wall Street Journal, Flickr and the Rolling Stones.
